Oh golly, this week. Where to start. Well, the good news is that we're not under water, nor likely to be, as we're on top of a hill, which I curse every time I trudge back with heavy groceries in the rain, but yeah, it all runs downhill.

And I'm sorry I'm posting these one after t'other. Type them up on notepad I can, post 'em, not so much as I've not been near my PC since Sunday, tsk.

Anyways, off to Canberra we went, in one of the wettest weeks Canberra has ever had, but we booked this ages ago, so it's just one of those things. At least, that's what I kept trying to tell people.

Tuesday: Ah, Game of Thrones. Yes, I know, you spoiled me. Still, there was my Sean, doing the old Sharpe look, being chippy to popinjays and generally being surly to all and sundry, because he is The Sean and you invite his wrath and mockery at your peril (I understand this allegedly applies both on and off screen, but it's neither here nor there when I'm just hunkered down in a freezing cold room to watch the freezing cold wastes of the wall).

I'm glad I ripped home early/on time so I had all my faffing about done in time to watch it. Oh, and there was faffing about, especially as I seem to be blessed with extra special allowances of clumsy and stupid this week. I'm going to tell myself I'm just coming down with something and not ready to fling myself on the knacker's cart just yet.

Popped the telly on just in time to see the Lotus roll up on the beach in Spy Who Loved Me, which really is the money shot. After that it was just You Only Live Twice redux, now with extra Shane Rimmer (as if all the Thunderbirds sound effects weren't enough, let's throw in Scott Tracy while we're at it).

Well, perhaps not, but I've just put in an order at amazon (exemption re misery) and with any luck I'll be awash with hot blonds and old coppers in a couple of weeks.

Not that I haven't got enough to be going on with, like over a month's worth of House and Life, but still, I needed something shiny to cheer me up, having been unreasonably meh of late. Speaking of House, this article, so much love: Behind the scenes on Bones with Stephen Fry.

This week has found me in John Hurt mode. No, not slashing the boys (though that'd be fun). I'm talking Alien (those of a nervous disposition will probably prefer to skip this post).

Actual hot, steamy tea all over the keyboard, all because of this. (OMGtheirloveissopugilicious!)

Meanwhile...

And you'd think I've been off furiously finishing my last LOM fic. I wish. But the Canberra trip was a nice diversion.
