No real news today. I fully intended to attempt adventures, but meetings and lashing rain has put paid to that. I didn't even get to nip down to the bookshop. But I will say, lawks, have you seen Laurence's brother?

Meanwhile, I'm not sure why I'm getting hung up over the moveable feast that is Morse canon. I mean, in the yellowing second hand copies I'm reading Morse is tooling around town in a Lancia. Then there's the whole gentrification of the plots when transferred to television, and I haven't yet mentioned the whole mix n match style characteristics that seem to be assigned to the boys in a rather random fashion. Fer instance, in my '79 edition of Last Seen Wearing, it's Lewis who gets the girlie vapours around the corpse while Morse is right in there.

For someone a bit wary of having the characters go too far off piste, it's a touch frustrating. Oh, why am I bothered when the whole thing ends up like a really silly Supernatural episode (lederhosen optional).
