thunderbolt and lightning

So I went to Sound Relief afterall. Oh, I'm tired, but it was worth it. I bounced to The Presets in a thunderstorm, and it was so brilliant and just massive fun. Of course it would have been considerably less fun if the nice girl I'd been sitting/standing next to all day (and minding seats, because the whole allocated seats things wasn't being that closely observed) discovered she had two plastic ponchos when I discovered I had, somehow, none, otherwise I'd have been a miserable drowned rat enduring the Presets in a thunderstorm. Did I mention how much I love the Presets? And how weirdly right it was I should bounce along in steamy plastic. Heh.

Also found my camera (apparently the pocket universe that stuff in my bag vanishes to could only contain my plastic raincoats and had to disgourge my missing camera) but it ran out of disk space during Icehouse (and yon bugger at home wasn't taping it). Ooops. Never mind. I wasn't sure about this whole Icehouse thing but Iva played We Can Get Together and Can't Help Myself and oh, joy, happiness and delight. Never has anyone with cramps and burns boogied away so much in a downpour. Okay, he also played Electric Blue, but a girl can't have everything. Hey, at least I got to hear the old tunes, just one more time. And I gotta say, Iva kinda rocked.
